Revisions to the FTC's Used Car Rule took effect on January 27. Are you in compliance? Join Hudson Cook attorneys Catharine Andricos, Lauren Hunt and Chris Capurso for a discussion of some of the challenges dealers are facing as they switch to the new Buyers Guide form. First, we will provide a primer on dealer and third-party warranties vs. service contracts. We will include a discussion of "as is" sales and state law limitations on disclaimers of implied warranties. Then, we will do a deep-dive review of some of the issues dealers have raised about how to disclose these coverages on the new Buyers Guide form.
