Professional Experience

Jennifer joined Hudson Cook in January 2016 as a partner in the firm's Washington, DC office. Her practice focuses on consumer financial products and services. Jennifer counsels businesses on compliance with federal and state regulations and consumer protection laws, including, among others, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Acts and prohibitions against unfair, deceptive acts and practices. Jennifer also represents clients in government investigations and enforcement actions and litigation before state agencies.

Prior to joining to Hudson Cook, Jennifer was founder of Sarvadi Law, PLLC, where she served as outside regulatory counsel to data and analytics companies and consumer reporting agencies, focusing on compliance with federal and state privacy and consumer protection laws.

Jennifer was previously with LeClairRyan, A Professional Corporation, representing financial services companies in litigation in federal and state court defending claims involving the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Acts, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Truth in Lending Act, mortgage lending, bankruptcy law and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act. She also represented a broad range of companies in complex commercial litigation regarding allegations of theft of trade secrets, business conspiracy claims and breach of fiduciary duties.

Jennifer was with Williams Mullen, P.C., from September 2002 to October 2004, representing litigants before state and federal courts in all phases of litigation before state and federal courts, in variety of cases involving contract, trust and estate, fraud, business torts, creditor's rights, and bankruptcy. She also prepared real estate development documents (including the creation of planned communities) and commercial loan documents for national and state chartered banks. She was also a law clerk to The Honorable R. Terrence Ney in Fairfax County Circuit Court.

Jennifer received her law degree, cum laude, in 2001 from George Mason University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from James Madison University. She is admitted to practice in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.
