Professional Experience

Anne is an associate in the firm's Maryland office. She advises financial institutions, licensed lenders, loan servicers, and finance companies on issues related to compliance with federal and state laws. She assists clients with licensing requirements, credit reporting, mortgage servicing, debt collection and bankruptcy guidelines, and developing nationwide lending programs. She also assists investor clients with due diligence relating to fintech, bank partnerships, small business lending, consumer financing, and title lending.

Prior to joining Hudson Cook, Anne worked as an attorney for a regional creditor rights firm representing mortgage lenders, loan servicers, investment trusts, and government agencies in bankruptcy and foreclosure matters. Her duties included advising clients and other firm divisions on regulatory compliance, litigating a high-volume case load in Maryland and the District of Columbia, filing proofs of claim, and reviewing loan documents. She also clerked for the Chapter 13 Standing Trustee for Maryland and the District of Columbia, where she assisted with the litigation and administration of the Chapter 13 bankruptcy case dockets.

During law school, Anne served as a law clerk for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Department of Justice, the District of Columbia Office of Tax and Revenue, and the London Stock Exchange Group.

In addition to her law degree, Anne holds a master's degree in Real Estate Finance. Prior to entering legal practice, she spent over ten years in the commercial and residential real estate sectors representing owners, investors, builders, and commercial tenants. Along with managing shopping center leasing for a private equity real estate investment firm, she represented small businesses and franchises in startup and expansion. Her experience includes negotiating sale and lease transactions, drafting contracts, conducting due diligence, performing corporate marketing, and reviewing business plans and financials.

Anne is on the board of the Bankruptcy Bar Association of Maryland and the Washington, D.C. chapter of the International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC). She is an active member of the Walter Chandler American Inn of Court, where she has presented to federal judges and other attorneys.
