David helps consumer lenders navigate complex federal and state regulatory requirements with confidence. As a partner in our Tennessee office, he advises clients on compliance management systems, installment lending, fintech regulations, arbitration, and retail installment transactions. He also assists financial institutions with drafting and reviewing consumer lending contracts to align with evolving regulatory standards.
For more than a decade, David has worked with clients to:
- Ensure compliance with federal and state consumer lending laws.
- Develop and enhance compliance management systems to mitigate regulatory risk.
- Help fintech companies navigate regulatory frameworks for innovative lending products.
- Draft consumer lending agreements that align with industry best practices and legal requirements.
- Structure arbitration provisions in compliance with state and federal laws.
David is committed to helping consumer lenders and financial institutions navigate regulatory challenges while supporting business growth and compliance.
Before joining Hudson Cook, David was an associate at Logan-Thompson, P.C., where he focused on wills and estates, contracts, and appellate litigation.
Outside the office, David enjoys coaching his children in youth sports, serving at his church, and cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers.
