Hurshell Brown and Andrea Cottrell named to Fort Worth Magazine Top Attorneys list

For the eleventh straight year, Hudson Cook attorneys Hurshell Brown and Andrea Cottrell have been named to Forth Worth Magazine's 2019 Top Attorneys list. Hurshell and Andrea practice out of the firm's Fort Worth office.

According to the magazine's website, the honorees received a minimum number of votes by their peers via the magazine's website. Attorneys are not permitted to nominate themselves. A panel of highly regarded lawyers in the area also reviewed the list prior to publication to recommend other lawyers who should be on the list.

Hurshell has extensive experience in providing regulatory guidance for both storefront and online lending operations, including online loan originations, online commerce, electronic payments and interest/APR issues. He represents clients in expanding their operations into new states and new markets, while advising on how to remain in compliance with the wide range of federal and state consumer financial regulations.

Andrea advises financial service providers on compliance with federal and state regulations and consumer protection laws, including those laws enforced by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Communications Commission, and other federal agencies. She regularly counsels clients on the manner in which they market to and communicate with consumers.
