Instructors Patty Covington and Eric Johnson presenting NAF Association compliance certificate coursework online

SubPrime Auto Finance News recently reported that the NAF Compliance Certification Program will now be presented online to ensure that underwriting and collections professionals maintain their compliance knowledge while travel is limited. Hudson Cook Partners Patty Covington and Eric Johnson led the development, content creation and implementation of the certification program, and have worked with NAF to transition the program to the digital space during the pandemic.

"Compliance still matters, and we may see an even greater resurgence of scrutiny in 2021 if a new administration is sworn in," Patty said. "So, minding our compliance Ps and Qs still matters, even in a pandemic. The NAF Association's programs on compliance are top notch — the content is rich and the practically on how it interrelates with the business just can't be beat."

Patty is a partner in Hudson Cook's Richmond office and co-chair of the firm's Auto and Personal property Finance and Leasing practice group.
