Partner Justin Hosie quoted as CFPB structure ruled unconstitutional in U.S. District Court for Southern District of New York

On June 22, Auto Finance News reported that New York federal judge Loretta Preska of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York dismissed the CFPB from a lawsuit due to the unconstitutionality of the agency. The rationale, according to Partner Justin Hosie, is that it is an "independent agency with a director that can only be dismissed for wrongdoing."

Justin primarily focuses his practice on regulatory compliance for alternative financial service providers, including consumer lenders, rent-to-own providers, pawnbrokers and small business lenders.
