Wingrove helps financial institutions navigate the legal and regulatory challenges of consumer financial services. As a partner in our Maryland office, he represents and counsels banks, sales finance companies, mortgage lenders, auto dealers, and other creditors on compliance with federal and state consumer finance laws.

With decades of experience in financial services law, Wingrove works with clients to:

  • Develop strategies for risk management and regulatory compliance in lending and credit transactions.
  • Advise on legal matters related to auto finance, mortgage lending, and sales finance.
  • Represent financial institutions in regulatory and transactional matters.

Before joining Hudson Cook in 1997, Wingrove was an associate with Venable, Baetjer & Howard in the firm's Corporate Finance and Securities Group. Prior to practicing law, he served as Assistant Treasurer of Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A. from 1981 to 1988, gaining valuable experience as a relationship manager for mid-market customers providing building client relationships providing financial advice while focusing on financial operations and risk management.

Wingrove is a member of the American Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, and the Baltimore City Bar Association. He previously served as Chair of the Maryland State Bar Association's Business Law Section Committee on Consumer Financial Institutions.

Wingrove is committed to helping financial institutions structure compliant and effective consumer finance programs in an evolving regulatory environment.

Outside of his legal practice, Wingrove enjoys spending time with his family, listening to music, traveling, playing golf, and following his favorite soccer and basketball teams.
