CFPB Appoints Hudson Cook Partner Jean Noonan to Federal Consumer Financial Law Taskforce

Hudson Cook, LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Jean Noonan has been appointed to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's Taskforce on Federal Consumer Financial Law.

According to the CFPB's Press Release, the "Taskforce on Federal Consumer Financial Law will examine the existing legal and regulatory environment facing consumers and financial services providers and report to Director (Kathleen L.) Kraninger its recommendations for ways to improve and strengthen consumer financial laws and regulations."

Serving with Jean on the Taskforce are Dr. J. Howard Beales, III, former Professor of Strategic Management and Public Policy at the George Washington University and former Director of the Bureau of Consumer Protection at the Federal Trade Commission; Dr. Thomas Durkin, Senior Economist (Retired) at the Federal Reserve Board; ; and Todd J. Zywicki, Professor of Law at George Mason University (GMU) Antonin Scalia Law School, Senior Fellow of the Cato Institute, and former Executive Director of the GMU Law and Economics Center.
