Article by Hudson Cook attorneys makes cover of Collection Advisor Magazine

Hudson Cook attorney Kavitha Subramanian is featured on the cover of the January/February 2018 issue of Collection Advisor Magazine for co-authoring, along with Cathy Brennan and Meghan Musselman, an article on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's new Payday Lending Rule. The article analyzes the CFPB's much-anticipated final Payday Rule, which was issued last October. The Payday Rule is designed to end so-called "payday debt traps."

Kavitha is an associate in the firm's Washington, DC office where she advises financial services clients on federal and state regulatory compliance matters. Prior to joining Hudson Cook, Kavitha was a Regulatory Affairs Attorney at the National Association of Federal Credit Unions.

Cathy and Meghan are partners in the Maryland office of Hudson Cook. Cathy assists national and state banks, investment banks, consumer and commercial finance companies, mortgage bankers, installment lenders and other licensed lenders in the development and maintenance of nationwide consumer and commercial lending programs. Meghan advises banks, sales finance companies, installment lenders and other similar creditors in the development and maintenance of consumer credit programs, compliance management systems, and vendor management programs.
