Hudson Cook Partner Patty Covington named to Inaugural Women in Auto Finance Honoree List

Hanover, Maryland, September 11, 2018 - Hudson Cook, LLP is pleased to announce that Patty Covington, a partner in the firm's Richmond, Virginia office, has been named to the inaugural list of Women in Auto Finance, sponsored by Cherokee Media Group.

Patty has practiced in consumer financial services for the last 20 years, and she currently co-chairs Hudson Cook's Automotive and Personal Property Finance and Leasing practice group. She advises banks, auto sales finance companies, installment lenders, motor vehicle dealers, leasing companies, trade associations, ancillary product providers and technology providers on a wide array of issues related to consumer financial services. Patty's practice focuses on auto finance, personal property lending, installment lending, dealer law, creditor-based collection practices, ancillary products law, federal and state regulatory compliance, CFPB-readiness, UDAAP, UDAP, privacy, data security and information management, electronic commerce and marketing.

Among her many accomplishments, Patty is honored to be one of 14 Hudson Cook attorneys to be named as a Fellow of the American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers, "a professional association of lawyers particularly skilled and experienced in handling consumer financial services matters and dedicated to the improvement and enhancement of the skill and practice of consumer financial services law and the ethics of the profession." Patty co-created the National Automotive Finance Association's Consumer Credit Compliance Certification Program and serves as a co-instructor of the program. She is a founding board member and past president of the National Association of Dealer Counsel.
