Hudson Cook Partner Catherine Brennan appointed as Vice Chair for ABA Consumer Financial Services Committee

Hudson Cook is pleased to congratulate Partner Catherine Brennan on her appointment as a Vice Chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Consumer Financial Services Committee. Catherine has been active in the Committee for many years and recently presented, "What's Old is New Again: The Future of Bank Partnership Programs from Small Dollar Installment Loans to Mortgages to Everything" at the ABA Business Law Section annual meeting in Austin, TX. Catherine is also a frequent presenter for the Alternative Finance Bar Association, deBanked and Lend360 conferences, writes articles and comments regularly for national publications in the areas of fintech, small business lending, bank partnerships and other consumer finance compliance topics.

Hudson Cook attorneys are proud to serve the ABA as leaders on the Consumer Financial Services Committee. In addition to Catherine's appointment as Vice Chair, five attorneys were recently appointed as Young Lawyer Liaisons on the Committee, and the September 2018 leadership roster also includes Anastasia Caton, Co-Vice Chair of the Young Lawyers sub-committee, and Partner Nikki Munro, Active Past Chair and Business Law Fellow. The mission of the Committee is to provide excellent educational and networking opportunities for its members, who represent consumers, industry, agencies and regulators. It is one of the largest committees in the Business Law Section of the ABA with over 1,300 members, and acts as a resource to agencies as legislation or regulations are promulgated.
